Dance has been the language through which I've understood the world for more than two decades.

Through movement came curiosity.

Through curiosity came a deeper understanding.

And through understanding came a deeper appreciation for people, learning, and the endless possibilities that exist when we remain open.

Perhaps that's the greatest gift dance has to offer.

Not simply the places it can take us, but the way it teaches us to see ourselves, appreciate the people around us, and feel more connected to the world we share.

The Journey

My own journey began in a small town in Bulgaria.

Before I ever discovered ballroom dancing, I spent five years training in rhythmic gymnastics. Looking back, I can see that those early years laid the foundation for everything that followed - they taught me discipline, consistency, and the joy of dedicating myself wholeheartedly to something I loved.

When I found Latin ballroom dance, everything changed.

I was captivated by its artistry, its music and the endless possibilities for expression. I knew very quickly that I wanted to devote my life to understanding it.

At fifteen years old, I left Bulgaria to continue my education abroad.

What began as a dream to become a better dancer gradually became a journey of discovering new cultures, new perspectives and new ways of seeing both dance and the world around me.

I spent the next ten years living in Denmark, followed by another decade in New York City.

Those years shaped me in ways I could never have imagined. One of the greatest gifts of that journey was my partnership with Troels Bager. Together, we had the privilege of traveling the world, competing on the most prestigious stages in ballroom dancing, and sharing experiences that I will always treasure.

Over more than twenty years of international competition,

that journey led to five World Latin Championship titles

20+

Years Competing

5

World latin championships

3

U.S. National titles

Countless

International finals, performances and unforgettable moments around the world.

- not because they define who I am, but because they remind me of what consistent effort, patience, and love for the process can become over time.
Looking back, however, I realize that competitions themselves were only moments along the journey.

I'm deeply proud of every one of those achievements

The real memories were created long before the music began.
They were built in thousands of hours spent in the practice studio.
In the conversations after lessons.

And today, they're the moments I hope to help others experience as well.

As my own journey evolved, so did my understanding of what dance could offer.

Dance has an extraordinary way of revealing what's already within us.

It teaches patience when progress feels slow.

Humility when we realize there's always more to learn.

Confidence through consistency rather than perfection.

And joy in the process itself.

Different strengths.

Different fears.

Different aspirations.

Helping someone uncover their own potential, discover their unique voice, and experience the satisfaction of meaningful progress has become one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Helping someone uncover their own potential, discover their unique voice, and experience the satisfaction of meaningful progress has become one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Whether someone dreams of competing, performing, or simply feeling more confident in their own movement, my hope is always the same: to provide the guidance, tools, and perspective that allow them to continue growing long after the lesson ends.

Every dancer arrives with a different story.

Because real progress isn't created in isolated moments of inspiration.
It's built through thoughtful practice, curiosity, and the willingness to keep showing up.

Over the years, dance has introduced me to extraordinary people from every corner of the world.

Different cultures, Different languages, Different backgrounds.

those differences begin to fade. We become connected through something we all understand without needing to say a single word.

That has become one of the most meaningful lessons dance has given me.
Today, one of my greatest joys is continuing to cultivate a community where people feel inspired to learn, encouraged to grow, and supported by those around them.

Yet the moment we step onto the dance floor,

A place where curiosity is valued more than comparison.

Where knowledge is shared generously.

Where every person's journey matters.

Dance is simply the language that brings us together.

What we're really nurturing is a community that celebrates progress, lifts each other through challenges, and reminds us that learning is always richer when it's shared.

I've come to believe that the most meaningful achievements are rarely accomplished alone. They're built through the people who encourage us, challenge us, inspire us, and grow alongside us.

If this community can help people become not only better dancers, but more curious, more open, and more connected human beings,

then I know we're creating something truly worthwhile.

Whether through the Academy, a workshop, a competition, or somewhere on a dance floor around the world, I hope we have the opportunity to learn from one another.

If you've found your way here, perhaps our paths have crossed for a reason.

Thank you for being here.

"My greatest accomplishment isn't the titles I earned. It's helping another dancer discover what's possible"

Every great dancer has their own story.
